Our services to you include:
The opportunity to see a Careers Adviser at parents evenings and/or careers conventions The provision of up to date information regarding your son or daughter's options at key stages such as 13/14+ and 16+

You are also welcome to contact us at any time to arrange an appointment - wither in school or at the Careers and Job Search Centre - to discuss your child's options. Alternatively, you may wish to telephone the Careers and Job Search Centre with any query you may have.

Various booklets/publications are produced by Wigan Careers Service and given to young people in school/college e.g. What Next?

Our role in school and after school:

In school:

Each school has its own linked Careers Adviser/s who will regularly visit school during term time.

Careers Advisers and other members of Wigan Careers Service work closely with schools to provide young people to provide a comprehensive programme of careers education and guidance including:

Groupwork sessions
Interviews

After school:

Wigan Careers Service staff will continue to help and support young people s they make decisions about their future - hotlink to 16-18 section, and Careers and Job Search Centre locations.
