Do not forget, some courses have closing dates for applications so find out about those you're interested in as soon as possible. Students may also apply to out of area colleges e.g. St Helens college, Runshaw college - see your Careers Adviser for more details.
Funding for further educationMost students aged 16-18 on full time further education courses do not have to pay tuition fees, except in certain circumstances e.g. private drama courses, private health and beauty courses.
To assist with the costs associated with continuing education e.g. travel, equipment, books etc., you may be entitled to receive an Education Maintenance Allowance, which could be as much as £30 per week in term time.
