Where to study

Where to study?

In some cases, where you want to study may be limited by your course choice - for example, some courses are only available at certain universities/colleges of further/higher education. In other instances, you may have a wealth of potential institutions to choose from. Whatever your situation you need to think carefully about where you wish to study, taking into account factors such as:

Finance

Finance may be a major factor affecting your choice of institution. In most circumstances it's probably cheaper to study at a college/university near home, particularly when considering issues such as accommodation and transport costs. Accommodation

Accommodation - what's on offer and cost - should be listed in the institution's prospectus or alternatively on the college/university's website. Most institutions have accommodation officers/advisers onsite to sort out any problems.

Location

Questions you may like to consider regarding location include: Do you want to study in a modern, rural or urban setting?
How far is it from home?
Do you want to study on a single-site or multi-site campus?
How good are the local transport links, facilities, social amenities?

Other factors to consider:

Student numbers
University/college facilities and resources
